7 rules for E-bikes

1. Always wear a helmet
Violation of this provision will be fined NT300
2. No passengers allowed
Violation of this provision will be fined NT300-600
3. Ride E-Bikes with legal license plates only
Violation of this provision will be fined NT1,200-3,600
4. Don’t drink alcohol and drive
According to the Criminal Code, offenders can be subjected to a period of less than two years in jail and fined NT200,000.
Individuals will have their employment permit revoked and if incarcerated be deported immediately on release.
5. Don’t charge and park inside
It’s forbidden to park and charge the E-bike inside, so as to avoid causing fire and endangering life safety.
6. Always follow speed limit, don’t modify your E-bikes
Violation of this provision will be fined NT1,800-5,400
7. Always follow the two-stage left turn
Violation of this provision will be fined NT600-1,800
