As the heavy rains caused the flood down in middle and southern part of Twain, President Golden Li of Golden Brother particularly requested the EHS committee shall conduct a survey to understand whether all our halls are free from the water accumulation.  Besides, the survey also needs to cover the frequency of cleaning the water tank for those halls using the underground water.

The temporary meeting of EHS was conducted on Aug. 29, 2019 and all EHS members were requested to report out for the issues mentioned above.  It is happy to understand only Changhua Fuxing Hall may be bothered by the heavy rains; hence, the Chairman of EHS directed Fuxing Hall shall make a deeper reservoir and wider ditches without hesitation.  Furthermore, for the zero-tolerance of fire accident policy, the Chairman also seriously requested all members should conduct onsite audit to understand whether the coordinators are fulfilling the daily responsibilities.  If found any nonconformities or actions go against the policy, the members should inform and consult with the employers and get the consensus to further promote the concept of EHS in order to maintain a safer and healthier living environment.

Recently, there were couple cases reported by Tainan that the foreign workers were heavily sick and needed to go home for medical care.  Manager chu shared these stories and said the officers of MECO highly appreciated the endeavors put onto those cases by staff of Golden Brother.   At the end, the concept of Corporate Health Responsibility (CHR) was brought up and some of the spotlights and commitments of those award-winning cooperations were referred to the board which will serve as the major reference for GB to promote future CHR activities.
