Golden Brother and its Affiliated Companies Conducted the Labor/Management Meeting and EHS Temporary Meeting

In order to let the labor and management team communicate smoothly, Golden Brother and its affiliated companies conducted the labor/management meeting and temporary EHS meeting on April 30 (Tue.) 2019.  

 

In the labor/management meeting, company presented to the labor status (including the M/F ratio, total headcounts, average year served and turn-over rate) and the sales status (including number of the real vs. expected foreign labor, sales revenue) to the meeting.  The management also revealed the exact date that the Labor Day and Dragon Boat Festival bonus will be wire-transferred.  Followed up, the management side articulated the legal codes/regulations checking status and the possible impact to the companies.  As for the punch card issue after normal working hours, the representative of management side also explained the details to the participated members.  

 

In the EHS temporary meeting, company urged the local representative to extend company’s regards to the one who suffered an car accident.  At same time, the meeting went over serious discussions for the following topics: AED (Automated External Defibrillator) purchasing and places to be located, safety issues related to using open fire and electricity.  As other company’s chairman and the responsible staff who were in charge of the safety issues that went fire couple months were all charged for "offenses against public safety" (Criminal Code article 173, item 2) and "offesses of homicide" (Criminal Code article 276, item 2) with heavy penalty, Golden Brother, again, stated its company’s strict policy for “zero-tolerance of fire accident”; hence, based upon the current cooking status of each dormitory, company requested EHS members, the managing personnel of each area, and the first-line coordinators need to comply with the following rules:
1. None of the dormitory shall use open fire inside the dormitory except for the restaurants who have dedicated staff to look after.
2. At appropriate area outside the dormitories that equip with fire distinguisher, open fire to cook is allowed.
3. At appropriate area inside the dormitories that equip with safety electric circuit and power sockets, using electricity to cook is allowed.

 

Besides, to ensure each dormitory can make proper adjustment, Golden Brother requested all EHS members to conduct the guidance training for proper using fire and electricity for the coming one month through our the administrative systems so as to earn the understanding from our clients and the foreign workers.

 

After reviewing the details of the meeting minutes, President Golden Li directed all EHS members and the responsible staff in each area to look into the strict code of “zero-tolerance of fire accident” and need to know this code is created to show our responsive attitude toward the clients and foreign workers for their safety issue.  As for any possible misunderstanding or no-understanding, Golden Brother also urged our managers and staff to communicate as honest as possible with the clients and foreign workers for the coming one month to get their consensus for the safety and human lives are not substitutable.
