Workforce Development Agency Promotes "Pilot Program for Diverse Companion Care Services"
To address the need for caregiving manpower in families and assist those requiring care, qualified pilot service units will provide short-term, temporary, or sustained caregiving personnel to alleviate the burden on families. On November 14th, the Ministry of Labor established the "Pilot Program for Diverse Companion Care Services" based on Article 56-2 of the Qualifications and Review Standards for Foreign Workers in Employment Services Act (Article 46, Paragraph 1, Subparagraphs 8 to 11). This initiative aims to offer essential services to families or individuals in need through this pilot program.
Eligibility Criteria for Application:
1. Hold a valid physical or mental disability certificate.
2. Possess valid Major Illness or Injury certification under the National Health Insurance program.
3. Have medical treatment or surgical records within the past three months.
4. Meet the qualifications for employing foreign workers in home care or mid-level skilled home care roles.
5. Assessed by the Long-term Care Management Center as requiring long-term care levels 2 to 8, with a need for this program's services.
6. Other service targets designated by the Ministry.
