Golden Brother International Changhua Fuxing Hall Holds Monkeypox Vaccination Service

Due to recent cases of monkeypox in neighboring countries such as Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and other countries, as well as the fact that monkeypox is a zoonotic infectious disease, the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control has reminded Taiwanese people to pay special attention since last year.  When entering and exiting the country, they should pay attention to whether there is a large-scale transmission situation in the countries they travel to and from, and encourage Taiwanese people to get vaccinated against monkeypox.

The Fuxing Hall of Golden Brother International in Changhua is mainly inhabited by Vietnamese migrant workers.  In order to prevent migrant workers from contracting monkeypox when entering or leaving the country, we have especially applied to the Changhua County Health Bureau for a publicly funded Monkeypox vaccine to serve migrant workers.  With the assistance of the Health Bureau, on the morning of March 31st (Sunday), MD. Qinglong Liao, Chairman of the Changhua County Physicians Association, led its professional team to provide vaccination services for 86 friends, including those from four countries: Taiwanese, Vietnamese, Indian, and Thailand.

It is hoped that colleagues and migrant workers can jointly pay attention to their health, minimize the entry and exit of areas with outbreaks of infectious diseases, and receive necessary vaccinations following government recommendations and instructions to maintain the common welfare of society and improve a beneficial health environment.
