Golden Brother's EHS meeting in December was held on December 15 (Thursday), at which the following topics were reported and promoted:

 

Reporting items:

1. Please check the current occupational safety and health procedures in each region and all operations must comply with the requirements of the code of practice.

2. All occupational safety and health requirements will be handled in accordance with relevant regulations.

3. Compared with the previous audit results, the dormitory on-site audit for this time has shown certain improvements; nevertheless, all found non-conformities should be corrected asap.

4. In response to the new regulations on micro electric two-wheel vehicles, Kaohsiung has invited supervision stations, insurance companies, and car dealers to the dormitories to publicize the new specifications, which can be used as a reference for each region.

5. Please upload all occupational safety and health sheets continuously on the internal website to ensure effective implementation.

 

Promoting Items:

1. The fire alarms in Kaohsiung City and Miaoli County are related to electric vehicles in charge.  Please inform the migrant workers about the safety issues of electric vehicles to ensure the safety of life and property.

2. The health examination of the migrant workers should be carried out by the employers to meet the regulatory requirements.  Fail to meet the regulations will fined accordingly. 

3. If a foreigner does not live in the dormitory arranged by the employer, and if the employer, within 7 days of notification of entry or change of the dormitory, submits the statement of the foreigner's accommodation abroad and other certificates, and notifies the local government.  After the local government verifies the statement submitted is true, the employer can be exempted from responsibility for the safety and hygiene of the foreigner's dining quarters and other living care.

4. Online fraud can be heard anywhere.  Please inform the migrant workers not to provide personal information to others so as to be immune from possible penalties.
