​On Sept. 28 (Wed.), Golden Brother conducted its 3rd quarter EHS meeting and focused on the garbage reduction and the preparation for promoting ISO14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems).

To review the garbage reduction result, the real reduction numbers for the past nine months were reviewed; however, due the pandemic, the expected reduction targets for most areas were not achieved.  Due to the capacity for each incinerator is quite limited, the volume of the garbage will become a huge concern in the coming future. As a result, chairman Lee decided to keep the target volume for 2022 remain unchanged at this moment and the new target for 2023 shall be decided at the end of this year to ensure the new target for garbage volume reduction for 2023  can be reasonably achieved.

As the promoting of ISO14001 & ISO 45001 is scheduled on early half of 2023, chairman Lee gave a short briefing on these two systems and hope to get the certificates sometime middle of 2023. The purpose to promote these two systems is to further enhance company's environment performance so as to meet the expectations of the society and become a sustainable cooperation and to reduce the possibility of getting illness of our staff which is required by the applicable laws.

Furthermore, to encourage the coordinators to better manage the halls been assigned, the overall service length will be counted as one of the performance factors to calculate the bonus.  It is expected with this newly added factor, the coordinators shall be able to contribute their efforts in a better way and to provide a friendly living environment for the migrant workers which is expected by Golden Brother's company culture.  Above service length information for each coordinator is accessible directly on GB's internal website.
