In order to provide more comprehensive services to our esteemed customers for those migrant workers who meet the requirements of the government’s “Long-term retention of skilled foreign workers program”, Golden Brother invited Mr. Xue, Jianzhong, the former head of the Ministry of Labor, to explain relevant issues on Sept. 7 (Wednesday).  Eexcpt for those colleagues who attended on site, staff in branch offices also participated this seminar through video-confercence.  

As the long-term retention program is one of the important projects aimed to solve the shortage of the domestic labor force, and after the migrant workers change their status as long-term skilled manpower, they can apply for permanent residence so as to make further contributions to their enterprises.  Besides, the long-term retention program will not affect the number of existing migrant workers at all; therefore, it is expected to be very helpful to the shortage of domestic labor forces in Taiwan.  

Due to Mr. Xue Jianzhong was one of the responsible persons for the relevant codes and regulations for migrant workers, he was able to answer the questions of our colleagues in the lecture directly and quickly.  After the event, President Li requested responsible units to lay out their plans to invite enterprises to participate in the forthcoming seminars in the key Science Parks in order to let our clients can have a further understanding of the long-term retention program.
