The "Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act" was amended and passed on Jan. 28, 2022, and will enter into force on March 31 this year.  Among them, the penalties for "frunk driving" are amended higher in article 35 and 35-1 with the following key points:
1、 The cumulative term of drunk driving recidivism increased from 5 years to 10 years
2、 Increase the fine for passengers taking drunk driving vehicles to NT 6,000-15,000 dollars
3、 Increase the initial penalty for drunk driving of small vehicles and large vehicles
4、 Confiscate the vehicle

Bicycles, motorcycles, electric vehicles, and cars are all within the scope of punishment for drunk driving, please remember "Driving without drinking, drinking without driving" for the safety of yourself and others.
