Labor & Management & EHS Meeting in Oct. by Golden Brother

On Oct. 20 (Wed.), Golden Brother conducted the Labor and Management and EHS meeting to examine the latest issues related to labor and EHS in the past two months.
 
As the pandemic is now under control, the Labor and Management meeting was held physically, not in cyberspace anymore.  In the meeting, subjects related to overall labor conditions, production and sales status, labor activity, welfare issues, working environment, legal checking, and other reporting items were discussed.  Particularly, the date for annual meeting and year-end party are tentatively scheduled on Jan. 8 and 22 (all on Sat.) next year.  Besides, the meeting also reported the base salary will be lifted on Jan. 1, 2022.  Furthermore, the Corporate Social Performance Indexes for 2021 and 2022 were also reviewed and discussed.
 
As the controlling mechanism heavily impacted the processes of recruiting new migrant workers by the CDC, President Golden Li specially mentioned before the Labor & Management Meeting that all staff need to look into the details of taking care for migrant workers and providing needed support at this moment and be ready to recruit high volume workers when the controlling measures.   Besides, Li also mentioned that related measures need to report to the clients at first hand.
 
For the EHS meeting, “Google Meet” was used this time to make everyone easier to attend the meeting and use computer to operate the demonstration.  Here are the key subjects in the meeting:
1. Garbage reducing:
As the workers stay in the dormitories longer than before, it is expected the garbage volume will be higher.  However, as the incinerator in Taoyuan in under maintenance, the City Government now set policies for reducing garbage collection.  Therefore, the clearance of garbage for all dormitories are all impacted.  This policy set by Taoyuan Government shall be a solid case for all other areas, after all, eventually it is necessary for all enterprises to take actions to address the need to recycle the resources and reduce the garbage volume. 
2. Check-up list and fire distinguishers:
With our without the epidemic concerns, the checkup activity shall be taken in routine base.  The coordinators in front line shall look into the overall EHS issues and report periodically.  
3. The Internal website demonstration:
For the good of internal operation, EHS chairman Lee demonstrated the contents of Internal website by showing the front-end platform which include: “Activity management”, “Sustainable management”, “Dormitory management”, “Administration management”, “Adjust & Prevention management”.  The internal website will be launched on Dec. 1, 2021 and the data input will reply on the support from all units.
4. Plans for ergonomic, overloading, and illegal infringement:
The government requested enterprises to take care of the employees and requested all enterprises with staff member over 100 to equip with plans for “ergonomic damage”, “overloading damage”, and “illegal infringement damage”.  The details of above plans will be announced later once fully prepared and then need to be followed up by EHS members at each local office.  
 
After the meeting, President Golden Li urged for “zero-tolerance for fire accident” as we all see the heavy lost in Kaohsiung's "City within City" case due to fire accident.  President Li demands all staff need to keep alert and conduct daily check-up and prevention measures to protect the safety for all of us and to ensure the future of our company.
