On April 21 (Wed.), the Principal of Kainan University, Dr. Yuexiu Lin, together with Dr. Jinyuan Guo, director of admissions department, and Dr. Yanqiu Chen, director of the Chinese Language Center of Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs, visited Golden Brother to discuss the issues of education for migrant workers in Taiwan.

In view of the fact that the total number of migrant workers in Taiwan has reached 700,000, and the total number of migrant workers in Taoyuan area has exceeded 110,000, how to effectively assist these migrant workers in Taiwan to acquire better language communication skills and vocational skills, so as to help enterprises make proper use of the human resources of migrant workers, and further enhance the competitiveness of the industry become a critical issue. Obviously, Kainan University, located in Taoyuan, that equips with unique advantages and the necessary resources and capabilities is a right one to facilitate this idea.

Based on the above, under the leadership of President Lin, Kainan University intends to explore the possibility to work with Golden Brother for providing relative education and training for the migrant workers.  After exchanging views and forming an ad hoc group to discuss the next action plan, the two sides agreed to draw up a concrete and feasible plan in the near future and submit it to the Taoyuan municipal government and the Ministry of Education to carry out the education and training for foreign migrant workers.

After the meeting, Principal Lin and President Golden Li exchanged small gifts on behalf of Kainan University and Golden Brother international, and committed to make solid progress towards the training programs for migrant workers.
