On Sept., 22 (Tue.), Golden Brother conducted its routine EHS meeting through the video conference to address the following four key issues:
1. The checkup of “Zero Tolerance of Fire Accident” policy and its result
2. The promotion of EHS information through company’s GB Serve App
3. The “water saving” cases in each area
4. The water tower cleaning schedule for each hall

The review was conducted by oral or ppt style.  For “Zero Tolerance of Fire Accident” policy, the main concern is to prevent the foreign workers from improperly using fires inside the halls.  As for the promotion of GB Serve App, the key issue is to ensure the workers can access company’s latest information or directions without any delay.  The water saving issue was brought up due to the shortage of rain fall in previous months and a serious drought is foreseeable. Hence, it is necessary to look into the water consumption for bath and laundry which contributed in large part to the water consumption.  As for the water tower cleaning schedule issue, the EHS chairman Lee will report the current status in the managers’ meeting to get the final conclusion.

In this meeting, chairman Lee specifically mentioned to the responsible staff in each region that they should be able to carry out the duty in order to ensure the policy and the processes can be put all together.  If the policy failed, the known risks will remain and all efforts made will be in vain.  As a result, Lee urged the responsible EHS staff to look into the EHS issues seriously and find ways to implement the policies in stead of just presenting cold numbers.
