To meet the legal requirement of fire safety, the coordinators of each dormitories of Golden Brother start to conduct the fire drills and demonstrate how to use the fire extinguishers so as to achieve the “zero-tolerance of fire accident” policy set by the company.  

For the fire drill, the EHS committee would like to address the concerns specifically related to the “Criminal Law” (article 173, item 2 & article 276, item 2) which may lead to prosecution of the violator and be fined or imprisoned.  Previously, there was a case that a foreign worker who used the extension cord and led to fire was reprimanded by the Taoyuan public prosecutor’s office.  As the case only led to damages of personal belongings, the worker got deferred prosecution at the end; otherwise, it is very likely that the worker will be put in prison.  Hence, it is necessary for the coordinators to well understand the “zero-tolerance of fire accident” policy and properly share the legal issues at the same time.
