Moved by the hardships faced by elderly people living alone and families on the margins in the Zhongli area, Chairman Peter Li of Golden Brother International Co., Ltd. and members of the An Sui Prince Charity & Merit Association have, over the years, during the Mid-Autumn season, expressed their care for these relatively disadvantaged groups by donating daily necessities or providing consolation funds.

On Wednesday, October 15, starting in the afternoon 2pm, Vice President Tim Peng and Assistant Manager Li of Golden Brother International, together with Secretary-General Zaicheng Wu and Mr. Wenliang Lee of the Chinese An Sui Prince Charity Association, visited 166 households across the Zhongyuan, Wenhua, Xinghua, Fuxing, Fuhua, Zhongyi, and Heping boroughs (Lis) of Zhongli District. They distributed relief stipends totaling more than NT$330,000 and discussed plans for future donation activities with the heads of each borough.

We extend our special thanks to the ward chiefs of the above neighborhoods—Qingjin Shen, Wenchuan Zhang, Junyan Chen, Chengen Zhu, Ronghuan Zeng, Qiurong Jian, and Chunfeng Lin—for taking time to assist with this event. Guided by the spirit of “caring for others’ elders and children as we would our own,” we hope that our fellow residents’ lives and health will receive greater care.

Recently, a major debris-flow disaster occurred in Guangfu Township, Hualian, causing significant loss of life and property. In these times when disasters occur frequently, many compatriots are in need of practical help. We hope that benevolent enterprises will each do their modest part and contribute to the harmony and well-being of our society.
